We have created close to a dozen chat applications for the iPhone since 2010. Most of these are very simple,
only have the ability for users to jump into a large chat room and of course manipulate their current username.
The problem with most of these applications is the fact that none of them have sustainable features.
A few of our apps have been in and still are in the Top 200 for Social Networking. Our apps have been downloaded over
a million times to date, but user retention is low. Why would we admit our apps have low user retention? That's simple,
our current apps were not designed to keep people around forever, they were just designed to fill a niche quickly.
Luckily we have something in store for everyone shortly. We have spent the last year working on an application that actually
has many features to help keep user retention high. We basically reworked the idea from the ground up, analyzing all of the
competition, and finally found a way to make the ideal chat application for today's mobile user.
That being said, PHIMPS.com is going to look a bit bare until we launch our new product. Check back often to find out when
it's scheduled to launch so you can get your hands on it ASAP. And trust me, you're going to want to use this app. :)
